Following success of the Budokai 3D fighting series, Dragon Ball Z returns to PS2 and GameCube (and comes to Xbox for the first time) in this third-person action-adventure, which is based directly on the animated television series. Your mission is to recreate the elements of the Saiyan-Cell Games Sagas. You play as six heroes from the show such as Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo. Once the main game has been completed, new playable characters are unlocked, and gamers can revisit levels as any hero they wish, even if their choice doesn't make sense in the Dragon Ball Z timeline. Since the main game mode follows the plot of the animated series, the playable character changes through the adventure's 19 levels, according to the heroes featured in the different chapters of the story. Random enemies and hidden items promote an 'emergent,' sandbox-style of play.
